Like her native California, Tyler Dawson’s design aesthetic is warm, playful, layered and innovative. Her vision is guided by a simple premise—finished projects should be comfortable, unique, and timelessly beautiful. In all interactions, Tyler believes the utmost respect for the individual is essential, and the most rewarding projects stem from trust, a mutual willingness to take risks, and honest communication between designer and client.
Tyler began refining her distinctive style while working for Natasha Esch Design and studying Interior Architecture at the University of California Los Angeles. Wanting to complete her traditional schooling, Tyler then moved to New York and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Columbia University. In 2007, she relocated to San Francisco and established Tyler Dawson Design.
Her work has been featured in House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living, California Home & Design, Modern Luxury Interiors, 7x7 Magazine, San Francisco Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, as well as several notable blogs. In 2011 Tyler was named a House Beautiful “Next Wave” Designer, and in 2014 was honored by the Pacific Design Center as a Star on the Rise. She currently lives in Venice, California, and works on projects across the country.
